A burglar is on the run on Long Island after breaking into an area home and making off with cash and a laptop, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers has issued a reward for information that leads to the arrest of a suspect who allegedly burglarized a home in Mastic Beach in broad daylight.

According to police, at approximately 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9, a man in a hooded jacket allegedly entered a Robinwood Drive East residence and stole a laptop and cash.

Police said the property stolen was valued at approximately $1,000.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect or the break-in has been asked to contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-220-TIPS or submitting an anonymous tip online.
